February 13, 2025 (Toronto, ON) – United Way Greater Toronto (UWGT) is proud to announce the appointment of Heather McDonald (She/Her) as its next President & CEO, following an extensive executive search.
With more than 25 years of leadership in the social and human services sector, Heather most recently served as CEO of LOFT Community Services, one of Ontario’s largest providers of supportive housing and mental health services. Under her leadership, LOFT significantly expanded its housing portfolio, diversified its funding base, and deepened its impact across the Greater Toronto Area. Her experience in strengthening non-profit infrastructure, forging community partnerships, and driving sustainable growth makes her an exceptional choice to lead UWGT into its next chapter.
